GoodSync Enterprise Workstation can be activated in mass using the command line procedure described below.
NOTE: The process described below only activates GoodSync Enterprise Workstation with licenses attached to the UserId without registering them with a GoodSync Account. Registration with a GoodSync account can be done after the activation process is completed.
1) Download and install the latest version of GoodSync Enterprise Workstation from here.
2) The following command line should be run from the folder where the installer downloaded to, or the command should contain the entire path:
GoodSync-vsub-Enterprise-Setup.exe /gs-userid=xxxxxxxxxx /gs-appkey=xxxxxxxxxxx
If the /gs-userid and /gs-appkey options are specified, then after installing GoodSync:
– This computer is enrolled into GoodSync Account designated by UserId;
– GoodSync license is activated on this computer from GoodSync Account set by UserId.
The UserId used for the activation process should be of the GoodSync Account that holds the licenses you purchased. To locate UserId, log in to that GoodSync Account and click on the "Account" tab.
To specify GoodSync Account AppKey, click "Change" to the right of the field titled "AppKey."
Next, enter your AppKey into the corresponding field, and click "Update."
AppKey also should be of the GoodSync Account that holds the licenses you purchased. AppKey allows only computer registration and license activation but not GoodSync Connect transactions.
NOTE: This is online activation, so the GoodSync installer should be able to reach https://www.goodsync.com.
Additional installer options:
/gs-proxy=Host:Port
Sets your proxy, used to connect to mediator.goodsync.com for license activation.
/gs-proxy-auth=UserId:Password
Sets your proxy authentication, used to connect to GS servers.
/S
Runs installer silently without input from the user.
