After onboarding, devices will appear as runners in the Runners tab. A runner represents a user account on a specific device.
Authorizing runners is completed in the Control Center.
Example runner format:
Test1@DESKTOP-749QQAP
- User account: Test1
- Device names: DESKTOP-749QQAP, LAPTOP-ADOCI2CE
The Machine Type column indicates whether the device is a Workstation or a Server. This determines how licensing is counted based on your environment.
Once onboarded, users appear as runners; you can authorize them by selecting the checkbox next to the runner.
Click Actions and select Authorize.
Click Save to authorize the runner to communicate with your Control Center account.
Enter the matching GoodSync Account password for the administrator account that is currently logged in and performing the authorization.
Once a runner is authorized, it can be managed for job assignment, reporting, and more.
