Auto Analyze and Sync
On File Change
This option allows for monitoring of the source and/or destination for changes and replicates them in real-time.
On File Change supports the following file systems:
- Windows File System and local disks (except root folder)
- Windows shares (except some faulty NAS shares that do not report changes)
- Mac file system and local disks
- Any of the above file systems remotely accessed via the GSTP protocol using GS Connect.
The On File Change Delay timer determines how many seconds since the last detected change before GoodSync will start the Analyze and Sync processes.
NOTE: If changes occur during Analyze/Sync, they are still detected and sent to the next Analyze interval.

On Folders Connect
This option allows GoodSync to Analyze and Sync this job when specified location is made available.
By design, GoodSync checks every 3 minutes for the status of the left and right folders to determine availability.
The following events speed up detection of connected/disconnected status:
- Insertion or Ejection of Portable Volume: detachable folders may connect or disconnect.
- Network Connect or Disconnect: FTP, SFTP, DAV folders may connect or disconnect.
NOTE: This setting should not be used together with On File Change mode, as On File Change overrides it.

On GoodSync start
This option allows GoodSync to Analyze and Sync this job when GoodSync starts up. This setting should not be used together with On File Change mode, as On File Change overrides it.
The On GoodSync Start Delay timer determines how many seconds after GoodSync starts to begin the Job.
NOTE: This setting does not work in Unattended mode, as the GoodSync Runner service always runs.

Periodically (On Timer)
This option allows GoodSync to Analyze and Sync this job periodically. The fields to the right allow you to specify the hours and minutes between Analyzing and Syncing.
Windows
Mac
On Logoff
This option allows GoodSync to Analyze and Sync this job just before Logoff from Windows.
Note that Windows may try to close GoodSync on Logoff. Normally, Windows sees that GoodSync is performing file operations and allows completion, but results may vary.
NOTE: Does not work in Unattended mode, as the GoodSync Runner service always runs.
Windows
Mac
On Schedule
This option allows GoodSync to Analyze and Sync this job on a specified schedule.
These time unit values can be set by clicking the "Configure" button:
- Minute (0 to 59),
- Hour (0 to 23),
- Day of Month (1 to 31),
- Month (1 to 12),
- Day of Week (0=Sun to 6=Sat)
If a field is left empty, it will run for every unit value of its range.
NOTE: If your computer goes to Sleep/Standby, GoodSync can wake it up for the On Schedule job. Ensure that 'Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options -> Edit power plan -> Change Advanced Power Settings -> Sleep -> Ensure 'Allow Wake Timers' is enabled.

Run without User Interface (Unattended)
This option applies to all Auto modes except for On Start and On Logoff.
If checked, jobs will run through the GoodSync Runner Service and request the Windows Account password for the currently logged in user in order to ensure that the runner may impersonate the user account and have appropriate access to the according data. This will allow scheduled jobs to execute even if the user is logged off or the application is closed.

Advanced Auto Options
Do Not Sync if changed files more than (un-checked by default)
This option ensures that Automated Sync (2-way mode only) is not performed if more than the specified (in percent) fraction of files in the Job has changed. An unusually high number of changed files typically indicates an event that requires user attention (e.g. ransomware).
Windows
Mac
Wait for Locks to clear, minutes (checked by default)
If checked, This option ensures auto jobs wait for locked files to clear instead of producing an error.
Windows

Automatically Resolve Conflicts
Automatically Resolve Conflicts
If a file is changed on both sides of a 2-way sync prior to a scheduled run, this will create a “conflict”.
Conflicts may be resolved automatically with the following options:
- Do Not Copy (default value) - Leave Conflicts in unresolved (Do Not Copy) state.
- Left Side Wins - Files on the Left side win.
- Right Side Wins - Files on the Right side win.
- Newer Files Win - File with the most recent modification date wins.
- Stop Sync - Stop Sync when Conflict is detected.
Windows
Mac
Conflict Resolution: Rename Losing File, Not Delete
If the Automatically Resolve Conflicts option is enabled then this option allows GoodSync to not delete the file that loses as a result of conflict resolution and instead rename it to 'FileName (Conflicted Copy from COMPUTER on DATE).ext'.
Windows
Mac
Auto Clear the tree after Analyze/Sync has finished (un-checked by default)
If checked, GoodSync automatically deletes the changes tree after a job run.
