The Explorer Tab
When you first open the GoodSync Explorer App for iOS, you will be on the Explorer tab. This tab offers connections to GoodSync Connect and GoodSync Storage, by default.
If you tap the [ + ] button in the upper right hand corner, you will see a list of supported account types which you can add to the Explorer tab, if you wish.
Through the Explorer tab, you can tap any of your connected accounts and will be taken to their respective file systems.
Here, you can add new folders by tapping the folder icon with a plus sign, change how the data is sorted by tapping "Sorted by" at the top of the screen, and toggle between view types by tapping the Grid or List icons in the upper right.
You can also tap the 3 dots in the top right corner to see options to "Select" or "Decrypt folder."
If you choose "Select" and select an item, you will see buttons at the bottom of the screen which, from left to right, allow you to Share, Download, Copy, Cut, or Delete an item or multiple items.
If you press and hold on an item, you will see options to Share, Download (this will add the item to your "Downloads" tab), Rename, Copy, Copy to Clipboard, Clone, Cut, and Delete.
The Server Tab
To the right of the Explorer tab, you will see the Server tab. This tab allows you to utilize your iOS device as a server using GoodSync Connect. To start the server, press the blue "Start" button at the bottom of the page.
When you see "Running" in green at the top of the screen, the iOS device has successfully connected.
In the top right corner, you can tap "Photo access" to allow GoodSync Explorer access to some or all of your photos. This is useful for situations where you may want to transfer photos to or from your iOS device.

In the bottom right corner, there is a blue "Edit" button which allows you to edit the name of the device in GoodSync, as well as other Server preferences.
The Vault Tab
To the right of the Server tab, you will see the Vault tab.
This tab allows you a designated area to store files on your iOS device. Storing files in your Vault makes accessing and managing them from your devices streamlined.
You can add new folders by tapping the folder icon with a plus sign, change how the data is sorted by tapping "Sorted by" at the top of the screen, and toggle between view types by tapping the Grid or List icons in the upper right.
In the top right there is a blue "Select" button.
If you tap "Select" and select an item, you will see buttons at the bottom of the screen which, from left to right, allow you to Share, Copy, Cut, or Delete an item or multiple items.
If you press and hold on an item, you will see options to Share, Rename, Copy, Copy to Clipboard, Clone, Cut, and Delete.
The Downloads Tab
To the right of the Vault tab, you will see the Downloads tab. This tab is where files are downloaded to from the Explorer tab.
Similar to the Explorer tab, you can add new folders by tapping the folder icon with a plus sign, change how the data is sorted by tapping "Sorted by" at the top of the screen, and toggle between view types by tapping the Grid or List icons in the upper right.
In the upper right there is a blue "Select" button.
If you tap "Select" and select an item, you will see buttons at the bottom of the screen which, from left to right, allow you to Share, Copy, Cut, or Delete an item or multiple items.
If you press and hold on an item, you will see options to Share, Rename, Copy, Copy to Clipboard, Clone, Cut, and Delete.
The Preferences Tab
To the right of the Downloads tab, you will see the Preferences tab.
The first section in this tab is the "Server" section. This section allows you to rename your device in GoodSync, and contains options to "Allow Downloads from iCloud", and "Disable Global discovery."
The next section is the "Explorer" section. This section contains options to "Show hidden files," "Cache small files (5mb) automatically," and "Show thumbnails on cached items." There is also a button labeled "Clear files cache" which allows you to clear the files cached by GoodSync Explorer.
The next section is the "Vault" section. This section allows you to choose whether you would like thumbnails to be shown in the Vault tab.
The next section is the "Account" section. This section displays your GoodSync account name, a link to manage your GoodSync account, and a Log Out button.
The next section is the "Security" section. Here, you can choose how you unlock GoodSync Explorer by tapping "Unlock Mode," change your PIN using the "Change PIN" button, enable or disable Touch ID, and use the blue "Change Password" button to be taken to your GoodSync account where you can change your password.
The next section is the "Support" section. This section contains options to Contact Support through a ticket and a link to the GoodSync manual.
The last section is the "About" section. Here, you can find your version information and Computer ID, as well as links to the GoodSync App store page where you can write a review and to the Open Source information about GoodSync Explorer.
