After installation, you may activate your GoodSync for NAS application to unlock full functionality. Activation can be accomplished through the GoodSync web server interface on your NAS. The following article will detail the steps to accomplish this task.
If you haven't already, download and install GoodSync for NAS.
After installation of the GoodSync for NAS application, navigate to port 11000. If the IP/network address of your NAS is 192.168.42.243, for example, go to 192.168.42.243:11000.
If you have an existing GoodSync account, you may enter your credentials in the fields prompted. If you do not have a GoodSync account, you may create a new account for free here: https://www.goodsync.com/manage
After registering a GoodSync account to the NAS, a confirmation screen will appear. Click on the link to continue setup and activate your GoodSync application.
Provide your GoodSync account credentials to access the activation portal. These will be the same credentials that were registered earlier in the process.
Next, click on the Settings tab and click on the Server Capability drop-down to select the appropriate capacity.
This selection should match your license type:
Standard NAS license- no more than 4 simultaneous connections from unique devices
GoodSync Server license - unlimited simultaneous connections
Click on the License tab at top to show the Activation page.
Click on Activate to activate this installation with the licenses in your GoodSync account. If you have not yet added licenses to your account, click here for a tutorial.
If activation is successful, you will be presented with the screen below. Your GoodSync for NAS application is now activated for use with full functionality.
