If you haven't already, download and install GoodSync.
To set a network share as a source or destination, follow these steps:
1) Open GoodSync and select or create your Job.
2) Click the Left or Right Browse buttons to view the files and folders available for selection.
3) To choose a network share as a source or destination, choose the respective network share option from the list.
Windows (SMB), Mac (AFP), and Linux/Unix (SAMBA) environments are all supported.
We'll use "Sib-SMB" as our example.
Sib-SMB utilizes a more effective combination of discovery protocols compared to Win-SMB, resulting in the detection of a significantly larger number of SMB servers than displayed on the Windows Network.
NOTE: If the desired server does not appear in the list, click "Add Unlisted Server" and enter its name or IP address.
4) Click the next folder down from Windows Shares, "Windows Shares and other Devices," and a list of available network shares will drop down.
5) Click the network share you desire to set as your source or destination.
If prompted, input the User ID and Password to provide GoodSync access to the network share and click "OK."
6) Your network share account will appear in the list specified by "user@share." Select a folder on it you wish to back up or sync to.
Select your source/destination folder on the opposite side.
Then, click the green "Apply" button.
7) Your Job is now ready to Analyze and Sync.
